Introduction

The final thrust of the Mongolian Empire was to the east in the ancient land of China.  It was the Great Wall of China (Wall of al-Magog) that was built to halt the ancient invasions of the Mongol hordes.  The powerful tribes of Central Asia that millenniums earlier had crossed the Aleutian Straits into Alaska and peopled the land of the Americas would soon breech the Great Wall of China and take over China as the Yuan Dynasty.

The last Great Khan, Kublai Khan, would establish the Yuan Chinese Dynasty and his Pax Mongolica would open up trade along the Silk Road between the east and the west.  With the death of the Great Khan Kublai Khan, the Mongolian Empire was over.  Like Alexander’s Empire of old and the future “Great Horn” Empire of the He-Goat, the Greater Mongolian Empire split into four rival kingdoms, called Khanates.

Again there arose a Mongol terrorist called the “Scourge of God.”  Sunni Islam came face to face again with a social and political catastrophe.  Instead of Baghdad, this time Damascus felt the full “wrath of God.”  Yet when Tamerlane sought to touch the “apple of God’s eye,” his plans were thwarted.  The Mongol era appeared to be over.

Yet, when the Great Nephrite Jade Seal of the Great Khans was given to the new ruler of the Qing Manchurian Dynasty, the legacy of the Mongolian Empire was carried by the Manchurians to the eve of the 1912 Communist Revolution and the modern age of China.

As the Grecian Empire, after the epic battle between Alexander the Great and the Persian Emperor Darius II Nothus, the sudden demise of Alexander the Great in 323 BCE brought the imperial advance of the Grecian Empire to a halt.  The rule of Hellenist Empire was given to Alexander’s half-brother, Philip Arridaeus as regent for his young son, Alexander IV.  Philip was mentally ill and the territories were soon divided between four rival generals in the four satrapies of the empire.

It took the Battle of Ipsus (301 BCE) at Phrygia in Macedonia where the military forces of Antigonus I Monophthalmus was pitted against Cassander of Macedon, Lysimachus of Thrace, and Seleucus I Nicator of Babylonia and Persia to settle the claims of succession to four separate imperial states.  Soon the vast Grecian Empire of Alexander the Great became four smaller rival states that included:

  1. Cassander, the founder of the Antipatrid Empire and ruler of Macedonia (305-297 BCE) and the western parts of Europe,
  2. Lysimachus, the ruler of Thrace and the northern sectors of Asia Minor,
  3. Seleucus, the founder of the Seleucid Empire and ruler of Syria and the eastern realms of the empire and,
  4. Ptolemy I Soter, the founder of the Ptolemaic Empire of Egypt and the southern sector from Syria in the east, Cyrene in the west and down to the southern regions of Nubia in Africa.

To the south in Egypt, the Mamluk Sultans who were once slave soldiers that converted to Islam and later served the Ayyubid http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/1d/Mamluke.jpgsultans in Egypt soon took over power in that ancient land along the Nile River. Over time they became a powerful caste system and in Egypt eventually seized power and ruled from 1250 to 1517 CE.

As the Ayyubid Dynasty of Saladin the Great was moving into its waning years, first his brother, Al-Adil and later his brother’s son, Al-Kamil eliminated the rivals to the dynastic throne of Saladin.  At the same time, they retained all the Mamluk retinues and absorbed them into a powerful protective force to guard the Sultanate.  This warrior caste was similar to the Revolutionary Guard in Iran today. The divisions of the dynasty came not from without but within and with each dynastic dissension, the power of the Mamluks increased.

In 1258, when the Damascus’ center for Saladin’s Ayyubid dynasty collapsed and was taken over by Hülegü Khan’s Mongol troops, the Mamluk general Baibars fled to Cairo. The first Turkish Mamluk sultan in Egypt, Aybak, who started the Bahri dynasty that followed Saladin’s Ayyubid dynasty, died in 1257 CE.  This was the year that the Mongolians entered the Persian territories heading south to Baghdad.

When Baibars arrived in Cairo, he had already as a Mamluk commander defeated Louis IV of France in the Seventh Crusade in 1250 CE. He later became the commander under the Sultan Qutuz of Egypt that gained victory for the Muslim forces at the Battle of Ain Jalut in 1260. When Hülegü withdrew the Mongol army and returned for the election of a new Great Khan in Central Mongolia, he left behind a remnant of his army under the command of the Lieutenant Kit Buka.  Baibars drew this Mongolian army into an ambush.  He destroyed the army and captured and executed the Nestorian Christian Mongol lieutenant, Kit Buka.

The Mamluk Sultan Baibars

Baibars was a Turkish Kipchak from central Asian warriors.  He helped the Mongolians conquer Russia as they sought to conquer Europe with the Golden HordeBaibars commanded attention at first sight.  Immensely tall with long golden blonde hair and blue eyes, Baibars was blind with an odd white spot.  After returning acclaimed from his Mongolian victory, he gained the respect of the Cairo population and soon killed the Sultan Qutaz in revenge for murdering his friend.

We see these same twists in the modern geo-political bids for power and control for world domination.  These divergent forces at times became strange bedfellows. The Christian Catholic Crusaders many times allied themselves with the Mongol forcesYet, it was the Turkish Kipchak Mamluk in Egypt, Baibars, whose own Shi’ite Islamic people initially allied themselves with the Mongol forces of the Golden Horde.  As the Golden Horde stood at the outskirts of Vienna, Austria, many years earlier, the Europeans did not see these warriors as Mongolian Asiatic warriors but Islamic warriors that were invading Europe from the east.  In reality, they were mercenaries for the Mongolian Kipchak Khanate of Russia.

Seven years ago, the Islamic nations again saw a rising reality of oppression and gloom as the globalist organizations of the Golden Internationale this time invaded the Middle East again on the 7th day of Succot in the year of 2001, for on that day, the allied forces with the United States penetrated the airspace of Afghanistan.  The War against Terror had now begun.   As the world’s most potent global economic forces, the European Union with its European economic internationalists and trans-nationalists such as the Bilderbergs of Europe and America with its powerful Council on Foreign Relations were seeking to reshape the map of the Middle East.  Yet a newer reality was on the horizon, as the Mongols in the 13th century reshaped the political landscape of the Middle East, while transforming itself into to three regional Khanates for a global world order, so also, according to a World News Daily report, called the “10 most Unreported Stories of 2006,” the European Union will suddenly begin to transform and reshape the world.  First will come the super-state, called the North American Union that will integrate Canada, the United States and Mexico into one constitutional government.   It will be cloned like the European Union, and the citizens of America will see vividly a massive transfer of wealth from the United States to Mexico plus the establishment of a "security perimeter" around North Americarather than securing America's borders with Mexico and Canada.”    Though many consider this to be a conspiracy theory, its truth had gained the attention of high-level voices such as Congressmen Tom Tancredo (R-CO), Ron Paul (R-TX) , Virgil Goode Jr. (R-VA) and CNN reporter Lou Dobbs who called this plan of the government as “unconscionable” and Orwellian.”

Foreign AffairsThe Official Magazine of the Council on Foreign Relations with their Motto the Apocalyptic White Horse and Rider

According to American University Professor Robert Pastor, the co-chair of the Council on Foreign Relation’s task force report titled Toward a North American Community,” he proclaimed that this report is the blueprint for the emergence of the North American Union that was initially being implemented by President George Bush, the former president of Mexico, Vicente Fox and former president of Canada, Paul Martin

This remodeling of the nations into the eventual unified world order will include the lost of national sovereignty and national identity of each national country of the United States, Canada, and Mexico, plus the eventual guarding of the borders of the American Union by military troops from other formerly foreign countriesAs the Americans watched the dollar collapse on the world market in 2007-2008, they began to perceive that it was only a global plan to destroy the American Dollar and usher in a unified currency for the North American Union called the Amero or the North American Dollar or Amero(NAD).  This transformation of three national countries into one regional union of a global federation was already under construction with the establishment of an intra-union network of superhighways connecting this region for quick transportation for the economic transfer of goods and the efficient transfer of unified military controlHere arose the disputed Trans-Texas Corridor that was a massive intra-continental highway as part of the “Union wide” NAFTA Superhighway System from northern Canada to the southern border of Mexico. The biblical models about the imperial quest for power in the past ages that brought foreign intervention to the Holy Land were shadow pictures demonstrating that soon foreign rulers will someday govern the land of the free and the home of the brave”.

So also the sovereign nations on other continents will merge into large global blocs of ten governing powers of a united world federation.  Is it not amazing that the prophet of old spoke in strange apocalyptic languages and described these strange and mysterious dragon beasts.  Here we see a dragon power with seven heads representing ten horn powers that will arise as the Sea Beast of Revelation 13?

Revelation 13:1-2 – “Then I stood on the sand of the sea.  And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.  Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion.  The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.”

Is this science fiction?  First we saw spiritual emissaries of the Divine One of Israel giving the prophets an inside scoop of that future fearful and mysterious global force that will have control of all the nations of the world.  As we replay these “mini-rehearsals” of prior ages.  For those with “eyes that can see” will envision the Catholic Christian Crusaders invading the Holy Land against the Islamic infidels is a possible proto-type of the invasion of the “King of the North against the King of the South.”  Jewish scholars claim that the King of the North of Daniel 11 is the Christian Western nations and the King of the South is the Islamic nations in the Middle East

http://home.earthlink.net/~theoson/BEAST-FROM-THE-SEA.jpgIf Daniel eight is understood properly in the epic war between the “Ram” (Iran supported by the super powers of Russia and China) and the He-Goat” (The Christian West that includes the Global Economic Giant of the European Union and theGreat Hornas the United States), will be triumphant in the Battle of civilizations over Persia-Iran.  As the Christians celebrate they will find that they have actually emerged and transformed themselves into the fearsome Sea Beast of Revelation 13 (Revelation 13:1-9) and the Apocalyptic Black Horse in the Third Seal of Revelation 6 (Revelation 6:5-6).

The Dragon Sea Beast of Revelation 13 - Painting by David Larson

Throughout his life, Baibars struggled with the Christian Crusaders at the Battle of Ain Jalut when the Crusader Principality of Antioch was allied with the Mongolian forces against the Islamic forces of BaibarsHe later went on to attack unsuccessfully the Crusader Citadel of Acre on the Mediterranean coast that was the remnant stronghold of the Kingdom of JerusalemHe later defeated the Crusaders in many other battles especially at Arsuf, Ashkelon, Athlith, Caesarea, Haifa, Jaffa and Safad.  He took special revenge on the Knights Templars and the Knights Hospitallers for they were the strongest military threat in Palestine and were especially hated by the Muslim rulers.

Before Baibars died in 1277, he had defeated three (seventh, eighth and ninth) crusades, the last that was led by the future King Edward I of England in 1271, who again attempted to ally himself with the Mongols.  Though Prince Edwards I of England did settle with a truce with Baibars, the Ismaili Hashshashin was later hired in an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate the future king of England.  Though there is no evidence that the Assassins were hired by the Sunni Mamluks in Egypt, there was considerable suspicion that the Assassins were hired by rival Christian Crusaders against Prince Edward I of England.

The warrior class of the Mamluks soon became the sultans of Egypt and Syria appointed by the Sunni Abbasid Caliph in Cairo. With the power of the caliphs destroyed and with the fall of Baghdad in 1258, the power of the Mamluks in Cairo increased.  With the Islamic caliphates in decline, the Islamic sultanate dynasties such as Saladin’s Ayyubids also declined.  The Egyptian Mamluks would become the Middle Eastern force that would eventually repulse any further Mongolian advances into the region and eventually drive out the Christian Crusaders from the Holy Land. The Mongolians were pushed to the east in the Battle of Horns in the year of 1260 and their presence in the Middle East remained only in the Shi’a controlled areas of Persia where the khans had converted into Shi’a Islam.

Though the Mamluks would remain as a power force in the Middle East, they were soon absorbed into the Ottoman Empire, the Islamic empire centered in the land of Turkey that ruled between the years of 1299 to 1922.  At the height of its power in the 16th and 17th centuries, the Sunni Islamic Ottomans ruled over three continents: Africa, Europe and Asia.  With Istanbul (Constantinople) as its capital, the Ottomans began to emulate more the Romans and the Byzantines rather than its own Islamic heritage.

http://www.bu.edu/mzank/Jerusalem/mp/periodic/mamluk.jpgOver the centuries the Ottomans engaged the eastern seaboard of Europe in naval reconnaissance voyages between the years of 1627-1631.  They confronted the Portuguese in the Indian Ocean between the years of 1538-1566.  They traversed into the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea and the Persian GulfThey showed up in India, Indonesia and Malaysia. Winning many battles against the west in the Mediterranean Sea, their army also invaded into Europe on two occasions trying to conquer the Hapsburg Empire with the Siege of Vienna in the years of 1529 and 1683

The City of Jerusalem during the Egyptian Rule of the Mamluks

The Ottomans confronted the Safavids Empire for control of the Persian Gulf and the Caspian Sea.  By 1683, the military expansion of the Ottomans ended during the rule of Sultan Murad IV with his invasions into Mesopotamia, Baghdad, Hamadan, Tabriz and Azerbaijan.

In the prophetic models written by Christian scholars in the 19th and early 20th century concerning the time of the end, it is no wonder that the Ottoman Empire was seen as a prophetic fulfillment of the “great power of the East” and in confrontation with the “powers of the West” as a fulfillment of the prophets of old.  The confrontation by the Ottoman Empire confirmed to many prophetic scholars that it was the only eastern political power that could challenge Western Europe during the age of the Colonial Imperial Powers between the 15th and the 20th centuries.

Yet when we look for the fulfillment of the prophecy of Daniel eight concerning the Ram and the He-Goat, we must remind ourselves that it was Gabriel that told Daniel that these events would be for the time of the end.  Using the Jewish calendar of the Jews starting with the Creation of Adam, the prophecy also confirmed to the Jewish prophetic scholars the year and the portion of the year that the time of the end would begin. During the “boker” or the first three months of the Jewish calendar year, October, November and December during the year of 1947, for the first and only time in the history of the United Nations, a unanimous vote was cast in favor of the Jewish people.  The vote was approved on November 28, 1947 that the Jewish people would be allowed to create their own nation.

As the Prophet Daniel was standing outside the Persian palace at Susa and looking north, he saw a Great Ram that moved with force and great power across the face of the earth coming from the regions of the Far East.  The Archangel Gabriel also identified this Ram to be the resurrected imperial force of the Persian Empire in the final days before the coming of the messiah.

Is it not amazing that presently, the rise of the ancient Persian Empire is erupting in Iran (ancient land of Persia) today?  Do we not see today the Islamic Shi’ite Theocratic State of Iran challenging the global powers of the west with chaos and destruction?  Do we not see her threatening the Jews and the Nation of Israel with utter annihilation?  Is it not amazing that the supporting powers of this resurrected global force that is seeking to restore the Shi’ite Caliphate for Muslims around the world are two great “horn” powers, the Nations of Russia and China?  The fulfillment of Daniel’s epic battle between the oriental east and the occidental west has waited for the 21st century.

The Four Rival Kingdoms of Genghis Khan’s Mongolian Empire

The Battle of Baghdad (1258) was a turning point in the Mongolian Empire.  After that date, there would be no unified Greater Mongolian in the future.  With the establishment of the Il-Khanate of Persia by Hülegü Khan, the last of four separate kingdoms and the military invasion by Möngke Khan into China would fulfill the dreams of Genghis Khan.  These kingdoms would rule independently and only be a part of the Mongolian realm.  The imperial dreams of a unified world government were now over

The beginning of the end was with the death of Genghis’ grandson, Möngke Khan. It all began in 1207 when Genghis Khan began the imperial expansion.  Yet the stabilization of the separate states would continue for another four hundred more years.

It was 1255 CE, only three years earlier, before the utter destruction of Baghdad, that the Russian provinces under the Russian Kipchak Khanate were established by Batu Khan.  This khanate was transferred to Batu’s son, Sartaq Khan.

Sartaq Khan died prematurely the next year and the kingdom was transferred to Batu’s brother, Berke KhanWhat was unknown to the rest of the family, Berke Khan had converted to IslamSoon after, the majority of the Supreme Council became converts of the Qur’an.  The military psychic of Genghis was to be transformed in sympathy to the Islamic faith.

The massacre of Baghdad by the forces of Hülegü Khan had a massive destabilizing force upon the Mongolian leadershipBerke Khan of Russia was not only adamant but forceful in his rage in how Hülegü Khan did not show more mercy in his conquest against the Caliph of Baghdad, Al-Musta’sim.  He was also now furious with Hülegü’s determination to push his territorial expansion in the Middle East not only to Syria but down to Gaza and Egypt.  The lives of hundreds of thousands of Muslims were being threatened.  A blood oath began to brew in Burke’s heart with revenge against his brother Hülegü when he protested to the Great Khan Möngke Khan as recorded by the Islamic historian Rashid al Din:

Rashid al Din – “He has sacked all the cities of the Muslims, and has brought about the death of the Caliph.  With the help of God I will call him to account for so much innocent blood.”  (David Nicolle in “The Mongol Warlords”, Brockhampton Press, 1998 and “The Mamluk-Ilkhanid War”  written by Reuven Amitai-Preiss, 1998)

When the kuriltai by the Mongolian Military Council was over, Kublai Khan was elected as the Great Khan in a protested and contested election.  Berke Khan with the approval of the Central Mongolian Council immediately began to make preparation to intervene and retaliate against his brother, Hülegü Khan, for the massacre of the Islamic people in Baghdad.

In 1260, Berke Khan, keeping his promise to thwart the invasion and expansion of Hülegü’s forces, made an alliance with the Mamluks in EgyptAt the Battle of Ain Jalut, Berke joined the forces of the Mamluk Baibars from Cairo, who in alliance with the Crusader States, was allowed safe passage along the Palestine coastline northwards towards Lebanon and the Orontes River.  There the Mongol forces were fighting in defense of Islam against Mongol forces seeking to destroy Islam.

Only after then, when Hülegü Khan was prepared to return to the Middle East in 1262 CE that Berke initiated a series of raids against his brother that drew the returning armies of Hülegü towards the north.  In an Islamic jihad (holy war), the first Mongolian civil war broke out between two Mongolian royal brothers.  By 1263, the forces of Hülegü were invading into the territories to the north of the Caucasus MountainsThere Hülegü Khan’s forces from the Il-Khanate from Persia met the forces of the Blue Horde by Berke Khan’s cousin, Nogai from the Russia Kipchak Khanate.   At the Terek River, these two mighty military forces battled.  Hülegü’s forces were crushed in a severe defeatHe was forced to retreat and he died two years later (1265) and was buried on Kaboudi Island in Lake Urmia.  There for the first and only time, an Il-khanate funeral was celebrated with human sacrifices.

Berke continued to fight and defend the Islamic territories in the Middle East against his Il-Khanate cousins.   In 1266 CE, Berke was killed fighting Hülegü’s son, Abaga Khan.  Berke’s son, Mengu-Timur, continued to fight on the behalf of Islam until the thrust of Islamic expansion was overHistorians over the centuries recognized with consensus that the actions of Berke Khan saved the Holy Land including the cities of Jerusalem, Cairo and Mecca from the destruction and fate of Baghdad.   What is least understood is that the finger of the Almighty One of Israel was saving His covenanted people, the Jews, from having the entire land of their native dwelling from the fate of the destruction by the Mongolian hordes

With the great division now between the Russian Kipchak Khanate and the Persian Il-Khanate, the unity of the Mongolian realms was over.  Like Alexander the Great’s Grecian Empire, the Mongolian Imperial Hordes flamed like a comet streaking across the Euro-Asian horizon and disintegrated as it split into four kingdoms or Khanates.

The Four Khanates of the Greater Mongolian Empire

  1. The Chagatai Khanate realm extended from the Ili River in eastern Kazakhstan near the Chinese border and Kashgaria in the western Tarim Basin all the way to Transoxiana in the modern states of Uzbekistan and southwest Kazakhstan.  Today these lands are included in the five former Republics of Central Asia in the former Soviet Socialist Republics who are now members of the Commonwealth of the Independent Soviet States (CISS): Kazakhstan, Kirghizstan, Tajikstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

  1. The Russian Kipchak Khanate was initially under Sartaq Khan whose realm extended to the present countries of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.  They were initially of the primitive Asian tribal religions called the Animalist.  They were believers that the animals were the representatives of the gods of divinity. They came under the influence of Russian Orthodox Christianity until Berke Khan was converted to the Islamic faith.

  1. The Yuan Dynasty of China was initially under Kublai Khan the grandson of Genghis Khan with its central capital at Beijing.  The rulers of this Khanate became a part of the Chinese Confucian religious identity.

  1. The Il-Khanate of Persia was started by Hülegü Khan.  His dynastic rule extended from Iran, Iraq to Syria.  The initial khans were Buddhists or Nestorian Christians until the third generation, Khan Ahmed Tekuder, was converted to Shi’a Islam.

The Yuan Mongolian Dynasty of Kublai Khan in China

The short-lived but powerful Yuán Mongolian Dynasty http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/ba/Kublai_Khan.jpg/479px-Kublai_Khan.jpg(1271-1368 CE) became the first dynasty to rule over all of China from the capital city of BeijingKublai Khan, the grandson of Genghis Khan, was now the sole ruler over China.  According to historians half the population of China, about 50 million Han Chinese people died in the conquest and invasion by the Mongolian hordes.

Kublai Khan, the last of the Great Khans

Under the rule of Kublai Khan, the era of Pax Mongolica began. This was the era in which the first western reports of the wonders of China were sent back by the adventurous explorer Marco Polo.  This rule became the signature of peace with fear and intimidation as the one world order of the Mongolian Khans spread across the breath of Eurasia from Southeast Asia to the Middle East and Central Europe.  The route of commerce fed this global economy as the Silk Road came under the control of the Mongol Empire.  This brought great ease in global communication for a unified government across this great breadth of land.

While the Chinese were Layout of the Forbidden City.seeking protection behind one of the most formidable barrier walls in the ancient world, the Wall of al-Magog (Great Wall of China) against the Mongol invaders of central Asia, these invaders were pushing south and west into the lands of the ancient Biblical empires of Babylon and Persia and the Holy Roman Empire.

The Forbidden City in Beijing, China

Kublai Khan (Khubilai Khan) became the last of the Great Khans and ruled from 1260-1294 CE.  Early in his youth, Kublai was fascinated with Chinese culture.  When his brother Möngke was elevated to the Great Khan, Kublai was sent to China as the governor of the Southern territories in the eastern regions of the Mongolian Empire.  He became involved in land improvement projects that helped to boost agricultural production and social spending for the Chinese people. With the acclaim of the Chinese warlords, the Yuan Dynasty began.

By 1253, he had conquered the Kingdom of Dali and was sent to Sichuan and Yunnan in 1258 when notification that his brother, Möngke Khan had died (1259).  He continued though to attack the Wuhan province in central China near the Yangtze and Han Rivers until a rebellion arose in Central Mongolia with his younger brother, Ariq BokeAs commander of the Mongol homeland, Ariq was planning to usurp power.  Making a quick peace accord with the Song military forces, Kublai aborted his Chinese assault on the Song region and raced back to Mongolia.

It was there in Central Mongolia, both Kublai and his brother, Ariq Boke (Arigh  Bukha) celebrated their coronations in 1260 CE; Kublai Khan as the elected Grand Khan with Ariq Boke as his rival, the anti-Khan.

For three years a second civil war was fought until Kublai became the victor.  Ariq Boke was captured (1264) and died as a prisoner of his brother. During the time of this Mongolian civil war, the ethnic Han Chinese revolted in China.  Kublai quickly returned to China in order to crush the Han rebellion.

In 1264 CE, Kublai Khan began the rebuilding of the city of Khanbaliq that became the capital of Beijing today.  The palace gardens and grounds were extensively landscaped with remodeled lakes, hills and mountains.  There in the capital of Khanbaliq (Beijing) the Grand Canal was extended with the end of the Canal connecting with the capital city.  Here was built the beautiful “Forbidden Cityof Kublai Khan in ancient China.

One of the most impressive http://kinabaloo.com/fc78.jpgmonuments in the world, at the northern end of Tiananmen Square is located the ancient palace of Kublai Khan, called the Forbidden City in Beijing.  This imperial palace lasted through the Qing Dynasty until the Red Revolution in 1917.   Today it is one of the favorite tourist sites to visit in China outside of the Great Wall of China.  Consisting of 9,999 rooms, the palace grounds of 720,000 square meters makes the Forbidden City (Gu Gong) the largest palace complex in the entire world.

As soon as Kublai gained control over the Southern Song, he established, in 1271CE, the first non-Han dynasty to rule in the Middle Kingdom of ChinaEight years later the Southern Song region was conquered and came under the Chinese Yuán Dynasty.  Quickly becoming an absolutist monarch, the reforms throughout China were extensive that kept Mongolians in important upper level government posts and employed the Hans Chinese in the non-Chinese regions

The commerce of China expanded westward along the Silk Road This soon became an artery of cultural exchange.  As noted in the travelogue of Marco Polo, the Silk Road extended from Europe through the Russian Kipchak Khanate from Central Asia to the Kublai Khanate in ChinaThe southern route went from Damascus to Baghdad, through India and over to China.  Within China, special provisions were made to build granaries during times of famine for the poor.  An extensive food distribution system along with hospitals and orphanages were built for the entire Chinese population.

http://kinabaloo.com/fc62218.jpg

The arrival of the Mongols soon brought the introduction of Islam into Chinese society.  This was especially so in Central AsiaNestorian Christianity was imbedded early within the social culture of the Mongolians for the wives and generals of many of the khans were Christian believers that believed that Jesus lived as two persons; the human Jesus and the divine Son of God, the Logos, instead of a unified personNestorians along with Roman Catholicism enjoyed religious toleration

The Imperial Garden in the Forbidden City at Beijing, China

Especially flourishing was the religion of Tibetan Buddhism that most of the royal family of the Persian Il-Khanate were initial believers in. Confucianism was resurrected in China while the ancient native religion of Han Chinese Taoism was suppressed.  This time of rebuilding and dynastic changes did bring about a time of peace in the ancient lands of the Chinese called Pax Mongolica.

With the death of the Great Khan Kublai in 1294 CE, the independent Khanates never again achieved central government ruleWithin nine successions of rulers, the Yuan Dynasty was over, making it one of the shortest lived dynasties in Chinese history (1271-1368 BCE).  With the expulsion of the Khubilai from Dadu in 1368, the peasant revolt led by Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming Dynasty was founded (1368-1644 CE).

http://kinabaloo.com/fc68.jpgThe Mongols retreated back to their homeland in Mongolia, where the Yuán Dynasty remained. It was now to be called the Northern Yuán.  Though there was fighting over who was the legitimate dynasty, the Ming or the Yuán, classical history has come down on the side of the Ming dynasty as the truly legitimate dynastic family.

The Hall of Supreme Harmony at the Forbidden City at Beijing China

A Ming Chinese military invasion attacked Mongolia around 1380 CE and in seven years, the capital of Mongolia, Karakorum was annihilated while 70,000 Mongols were taken captive.  Later in 1396 CE, the Mongolian throne was taken by a Mongol prince called Yesüder who was a descendant of Arigh Bugha, the brother and former rival to Kublai Khan for the title of the Grand Khan.  Under Yesüder’s short rule, he carried the people through the rough years and gave the throne back to the descendents of Kublai Khan.  After the end of the Ming dynasty, the Mongols continued to be attacked and oppressed by the Manchu from the region of Manchuria during the 17th century

We now return to the beginning of our study about the Mongolian influence in the geo-political relationships between Iran, Russia and ChinaWe can now better understand that this symbiotic relationship is not new, but the ancient bond between the Muslims and the Russians.  This came from an eight hundred year old friendship that began when the Golden Horde came to the aid of the Islamic peopleThey fought against their own Mongolian warrior brethren that were seeking the total submission or destruction of Islam.

The relationship of the Islamic people with China comes from an equally long relationship with the Yuan dynasty of Kublai Khan.  This affinity came not only with Kublai Khan’s toleration of Islam but allowing the Muslim faith to become one of the favorite religions of China and allowing them to proselytize their faith in the provinces of China.

We now also return to 1634 CE when Ligdan Khan, the last Great Khan of the Mongols, died on his way to Tibet.  It was his son, Ejei Khan, who gave the great seal of the Mongolian Empire that was the imperial seal of the last Yuán Emperor that last sat on the royal throne in 1368 CE.  This seal was given with the formal surrender of the Mongolian’s to the Manchu ruler, Hong Taiji.

As fate may be, Hong Taiji was also a descendant of the Eastern Mongolians who established the Qing Dynasty.  The Qing Dynasty became the successor of the Yuán Dynasty in 1636 CE. The city of Beijing and the Forbidden City that was first built in the days of Kublai Khan continued to be enlarged and beautified. With all its exquisite oriental beauty created throughout the Ming and the Qing Dynasties, this Chinese royal estate gives us a historical legacy today of over 700 years.

Tamerlane and the Mongol Invasion into Palestine and the Middle East

While the Yuan dynasty in China and the Il-Khanate dynasty in Persia were in the waning years, there arose a new warlord, Tughlugh Timur (1347-1363 CE). He rose up out of the central kingdom of the former Mongolian Empire, the Chagatai Khanate.

Qazan Khan, the ruler of the Chagatai Khanate (1343–1346 CE) died and left the legacy and future of the Chagatai Khanate in doubt.  The next year the Chagatai Khanate was divided into the Western Transoxiana and the Eastern Moghulistan.  The Eastern sector came under the control of the powerful tribal chieftains where the Western Moghulistan was taken over by a Chaghataite adventurer named Tughlugh Timur.  He converted to Islam and tried to reunify the kingdom by subjecting the tribal rulers

Out of the political unrest of Tughlugh Timur, there arose a Turku-Mongolian Muslim native of Transoxania who did claim descent from Genghis Khan.  His idol was Genghis Khan and in military adventures he viciously attacked Persia, India and died in route to China.  He also proved his value to the throne by marrying into the family of Genghis Khan.  This Mongol warrior took on the name of Timūr Gurkānī, which in Persian means the son-in-law of Timur.

Yet the birth name was Tīmūr bin Taraqhay Barlas, or the son of Taraqhay who was the chief of the tribe of Barlas, a Turkic speaking tribe in Mongolia that traced their family lineage to Qarachar BarlasToday he is known as Temur, Taimur, Timur Lenk, Timur-i Leng, Temur-e Lang, Amir Timur, Aqsaq Timur and in the Latin languages as Tamerlane or Tamburlaine probably in reference to his name of Tamer “the Lame” when he was wounded in a sheep-stealing escapade that left his leg lame.

Tamerlane’s great-grandfather, Qarachar Noyon’s, fame was that he was the first of his clan to convert to Islam.  Coming from a military family and known for his brash military conquests and brutality, Tamerlane, like his father Burkul, was a quiet person who http://csc.apolyton.net/images/timur.gifpreferred a life of retirement and study.  His grandfather in his latter life retired to a Muslim monastery.  His words to his son Burkul recorded in those retiring years were that “the world is a beautiful vase filled with scorpions.”

Tamerlane, the “Scourge of God”

With the blend of Islam from a military family, Tamerlane early in life was known for his skills in the manly sports but kept a reputation for being a student of the Qur’an.  He is believed to have been influenced by Sufism.  His life early became a mixture of great contrasts.  His tombstone records that his genealogical descent came from the fourth Islamic Caliph Ali and with many Shi’ites in his army, it has led many to call Tamerlane a Shi’ite Muslim.  His lineage to Ali is today suspected to be spurious as well as the records in his memoirs called the Malfu'at that called him of a “tender and sympathetic nature.”

Yet it is still accepted that he converted to Islam mentored by the Nusayri counselor from Balkh called Sayyed Barakah.  His official spiritual counselor was the Hanafite scholar abd Al-Jabbar Khwarazmi.  Later in life, Tamerlane constructed one of his most acclaimed monuments as a tomb to the influential Turkic Sufi saint, Ahmed Yesevi, a Sufi missionary to the nomadic Mongolians in central Asia

Tamerlane first negotiated a military alliance with the city of Samarkand (1366) that proclaimed him Emir in 1370 as a representative of the Chagatai kingdom. From the central lands of the Chagatai Kingdom, Tamerlane (Tīmūr bin Taraghay Barlas) quickly flamed across the lands in conquest.  He then began to campaign to the west (1380).  He overthrew the rulers of Herat in Afghanistan (1381) and moved into the lands of Persia (1382).

During this time, Tamerlane turned his eyes westward to the land of the Golden Horde.  It was the Islamic ruler, Tokhtamysh, a former refugee in the court of Tamerlane that returned and became ruler of the eastern Kipchak Khanate of the Golden Horde in 1383 CE.  It was not until Tokhtamysh tried to take possession of Khwarizm and its famed city of Kukhana Ark (Kiva), the capital of the Astrakhans that Tamerlane became furious.  These territories, surrounding the Caspian Sea, had already been claimed by Tamerlane.  Here in the former Russian province of Uzbekistan, Tamerlane and his former refugee became bitter enemies. Soon these two warriors would meet face to face.

Tamerlane first returned to remove the Mazaffarids from power in Shiraz (1383) and capture the city of Isfahan (1387).  He threw out the Jalayirids from Baghdad (1393) and moved up to conquer the Golden Horde (1394-1395).  There Tamerlane settled his claim to the sovereignty over the lands of the Caucasus.

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/31/38530963_4822a67b0b.jpg?v=0In 1397, he returned to recapture the city of Isfahan in the Iranian lands of ancient Media and moved over towards Pakistan and onward to the conquest of Delhi, India (1398).

By 1399, Timur had pushed against the gates of the Ottoman Empire, ruled by Bayezid, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire and the Mamluk Sultan of Egypt.  This conflict began in part because the Ottoman Sultan was beginning to annex the territory of the Anatolian Turkmen and Muslim rulers.  The Sultan’s forces were also on the verge of conquering Constantinople, seeking to overthrow the capital of the Christian Byzantine Empire.

Timur has already proclaimed his suzerainty over the Anatolian territories and so he invaded into the heartland of the Middle East.   With the aid of war elephants that he had obtained in India, Tamerlane conquered Aleppo (1400).  As Tamerlane headed to Damascus, he sent a message ahead to invoke the fear of the Damascus Islamic population.

"I am the scourge of God appointed to chastise you,
since no one knows the remedy for your iniquity except me.
You are wicked, but I am more wicked than you, so be silent!"

--Spoken by Tamerlane Khan before the Sacking of Damascus

The Mamluk Sultan in Cairo sent a delegation to negotiate with Tamerlane.  As they left, the city was invaded.  The Mamluk army was conquered, the Umayyad Mosque was destroyed by fire and the Muslims in the city of Damascus were totally massacred.   Their heads were piled in a field outside the north-eastern sector of the city walls that today is a city square called, burj al-ruus, or the tower of heads.”  The only residents spared were the artisans that were deported as captives to his capital at SamarkandThere the palaces, mosques and monuments were erected as an artistic legacy of Timur the Great

Even though Tamar was known as a student of the Qur’an and a Muslim, it was during this campaign that Tamerlane became known as the public enemy of IslamMay we rather suggest that Tamerlane was the public enemy of Sunni Islam with his religious leanings towards Shi’ites and Sufi mystical Islam?

One hundred fifty years earlier, the Mamluks who seized power in Egypt in 1250 CE were the most famous of this powerful Turkic-Mongolian clan from the Russian steppes that were given by Genghis Khan to his son Juchi.  The Mamluks were kidnapped or taken from debt ridden families in the Russian steppes and sold into slavery in EgyptConverted from their Buddhist roots into Islam, they trained and formed the powerful cavalry ranks of the Egyptian army to serve as an outsider force directly under the service of the Sultan of Egypt.

The Mamluks eventually became the http://www.sachmet.ch/Photogallery/Reisen_Ansicht-Thumbs/Usbekistan/Samarkand%201%20-%20Ansicht/16%20Samarkand%201.jpgpower of the throneIn 1250 when the Ayyubid sultan, as-Salih Ayyub died, his Mamluk general, Aybak killed the heir to the throne, married the sultan’s widow, Shajar al-Durr (Arabic: “String of Pearls”), and started the first Mamluk dynasty.  It was called the Bahri dynasty or Bahriyya Sultante

Assisted by the sacking of the capital of the Abbasid Caliphate in Baghdad in 1258 CE by the son of Genghis Khan, the power of the second (Damascus) of two great Sunni dynasties went into decline.  At the same time, the power of the Mamluk Kipchak Bahri Dynasty (1250-1382) ascended in Islamic prominence as Cairo Egypt became the Mamluk capital.

065.jpg the Tomb of Berkuk
It was in 1377 that a revolt erupted in Syria that spread from Damascus to Egypt.  By 1382, the city of Cairo was taken over by the Circassian leader Barakah also known as Berkuk (Az-Zahir Sayf ad-Din Barquq (1389-1402).  He was proclaimed the Sultan of Egypt and the new Circassian Burgi Mamluk Empire rose to take the place of the deposed Bahri Sultan Dynasty of Egypt

The Tomb of Berkuk, the Sultan of Egypt

Berkuk was later expelled from Cairo in 1389 CE but returned to recapture the city in 1390 just as the warning signs came from the north that the Scourge of God was returning to the Middle East.  As the Egyptians watched Aleppo and Damascus destroyed, the new sultan enraged at the treatment of the people of Damascus, raised up a massive army prepared to fight Timer the Lame.  When Tamerlane heard of the army of the Sultan of Egypt, it was reported that he “fled” while Berkuk arrived to expel the remaining Mongol-Tatar armies.  On the heels of the flight of Tamerlane in 1399, Berkuk died from causes unknown.

Yet Timur did not flee He had a prior city to conquerUnknown to the military forces of Berkuk that were preparing to attack Tamerlane, Tamerlane returned back east to the city of Baghdad that he had earlier thrown out the Jalayirids rulers in 1393He now returned and finished his task.

Like Hulegu Khan thirty three years earlier, Tamerlane invaded the city of Baghdad on June 1401 CE and according to historians, 20,000 of its citizens were massacred. Timur had earlier ordered that every Mongolian warrior show his loyalty to him by bringing back to him at least two severed heads from the Baghdadi residents.  According to Islamic legends, many of his warriors carried heads from prior campaigns in order to assure that there would be enough heads in Baghdad to present as trophies to the “Scourge of God.”  The last of the Mongolian presence would soon leave the Middle East and the lands of the children of Isaac and Ishmael forever.

Then in 1402 CE, Tamerlane captured the port city of Smyrna from the Christian Knights of RhodesChristian rescue ships were quickly dispatched from Constantinople that earlier came under siege from Tamerlane’s forces.  As they approached Smyrna they were met with the terrifying nature of Tamerlane’s military tacticsFloating on the ripples of the sea by night, they saw hundred of lights. As they approached they saw candlelit dishes that carried the severed heads of the entire Christian garrison of Smyrna’s Knight of Rhodes floating out to sea.

Hagia Sophia idealized

Tamerlane had been urging a battle against the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire every since 1399 CE when he arrived into Syria in revenge for the Sultan who tried to annex the territories of Tamerlane’s homeland of the Turkmen and Muslim rulers in Anatolia.  As Tamerlane arrived into Syria, he sacked Aleppo (1400), Damascus (1400) and Baghdad (1401).

Greatest Idealization of Byzantine Architecture in Constantinople

It was on the year of 1401 CE that Tamerlane declared war on the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid, whose armies had laid siege to Constantinople.  It was in 1261 CE that the Byzantine forces of Michael VIII Palaeologus had finally recaptured the city of Constantinople from the Catholic Crusaders Latin ruler, Baldwin II.   The imperial palace of Blachernae became the residence of the Eastern Orthodox Christian emperor

It would be one hundred thirty years later that a new menace would arrive at the walls of Constantinople.  The power of the Byzantine monarch had been declining.   During the reign of the Byzantine Emperor John V Palaeologus, the Ottomans had extracted tribute from his kingdom.  It was in 1381 that the forces of the Sultan Bayezid I of the Ottoman Empire would lay siege to the city and remain there for ten years

As the city of Vienna and subsequently Rome, the headquarters of the Roman http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/77/Beyazid_I.jpg/150px-Beyazid_I.jpgCatholic Church were saved as the Golden Horde abandoned their impending war at the “gates of Europe”, so also Constantinople was saved.   This time, this Christian city was saved as again the finger of the Lord of hosts worked out his will and the Ottoman forces left the siege of Constantinople in 1402 CE to face their fate against the arriving armies of TamerlaneAfter years of stinging letters of threat and reprisals, the two great warriors would meet.

Soon the armies of the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid I arrived into SyriaInstead of reclaiming the conquered lands of Sunni Islam in Syria, the most dangerous enemy to Tamerlane called “The Thunderbolt” met the Mongolian forces at the Battle of Ankara.

Bayezid I, the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire (1389-1402)

On July 20, 1402 CE at Ankara, Turkey, the 85,000 warriors of Bayezid I’s Ottoman army met the 110,000 man Turku-Mongol forces of Tamerlane.  There in the bloody battle that consumed 15,000 to 40,000 warriors on each side, Bayezid the Sultan was captured and died a year later.  The Ottoman Empire was without a ruler for nine years until the days of Tamerlane were over and his son, Mehmed I Celebi came to rule (1413-1421).  This nine years lacking an Islamic http://www.ucalgary.ca/applied_history/tutor/oldwrld/armies/armyimage/timurid1405Large.gifimperial rule was called the Ottoman Interregnum”.

The Mongolian Dominions of Tamerlane, founder of the Timurid Empire (1370-1405)

This was to be Tamerlane’s last campaign.   With his eyes set to the east, Tamerlane headed to ChinaHe wanted to restore the Mongolian Empire that had been driven out of China by the Ming rulers in 1368 CE.  On December 1404, Timur’s forces began their expedition to China.  Only two months later, in February 1405, a fever attacked Timur and the Scourge of God met his fate by the bubonic plague near the city of Otrar in the present day country of Kazakhstan.  His remains were buried in Samarkand at his Mausoleum called the Gur-e-Amir

Today the Gur-e-Amir is counted amongst the many architectural splendors of SamarkandThese include the many beautiful palaces and mosques.  The flourishing city of artisans and craftsmen from all over the Middle East and Central Asia had created a city that Marco Polo called a “very large and splendid city.”  Here in the region of Uzbekistan today, Samarkand is again being fought over by the globalist’s powers seeking control over oil and the passage of that “black gold” that the cities and industries of today are powered.  These global powers seeking control of that region are the Red Internationale power of Russia and the Golden Internationale power of the United States

http://www.paradoxplace.com/Insights/Civilizations/Mongols/Images/750/Gur-e-Amir-Samarkand-BR750.jpgThe legacy of the Timurid Empire (1370-1405) that Tamerlane founded was continued through his son, Shah Rukh.  He ruled out of Herat, Afghanistan until his death in 1447.  This dynasty continued until 1506 CE in direct descent from Timur the Lame to Babur of India, a reputed descendant of Genghis Khan through his mother’s ancestry.

The Gur-e-Amr Mausoleum of Tamerlane at Samarkand

The Jiavuguan Pass on the western end of the Great Wall of China was strengthened by the Ming dynasty in China due to fear of an invasion by Timur (Iron) the Lame (Tamerlane) who was leading an invasion towards China to the east.   His empire upon his death extended from the lands surrounding the Caspian Sea, the banks of the Ural and the Volga to the west and north-west to the south and south-west in Persia which now include Iran and Iraq including Baghdad, Karbala, Isfahan and Kurdistan

It was Bābur, whose real name was Zāhir ud-Dīn Mohammad who became a Muslim Emperor of the Mughal dynasty, one of the most important dynasties in India.  This dynasty was finally conquered and dissolved by the British imperial quest when Bahadur Shah II was sent into exile to Burma

The entire Middle East all the way to China quaked in the conquests of Tamerlane.  He became a legendary hero in Central Asia where many children are named after him but was cursed in the cities of Baghdad, Damascus and Delhi that were sacked, plundered and destroyed.   Hundreds of thousands or even millions were slaughtered in cruel brutality.  The legacy of Timur in Persian literature speaks for itself, he was called, “Teymour, Conqueror of the World.”

The International Effect of the Mongolian Invasions

As we return earlier in our history of the Blue Horde of the Russian Kipchak Khanate, there is no doubt by historians that the history of the Holy Roman Empire, the crusades into the Middle East, the hegemony of power by the Papal States in Rome would have all been destroyed or forever altered except the angel of the Lord made its mark on one man, the Great Khan of the Mongols

The effects of the Mongolian battles were catastrophic to the combined forces of the German-Polish troops along with the famed fighting forces of the Knights Templars and http://216.15.211.67/byzantinebronzes.ancients.info/obj840pg1geo536p3.pngthe Teutonic Order at the    Battle of Legnica.  Two days later with the slaughter of the huge Hungarian forces that were marshaled against Batu Khan suggests that none of the feudal states in Europe even with the combined forces of the Holy Roman Empire could have withstood the forces of the mighty avenging war machine of the Mongolian forces.

The Mongol-Tartar horsemen of the Golden Horde

When we looked at the estimated fatalities from the Mongol campaigns, we must remind ourselves that these estimated results do not include the hundreds of thousands of deaths by the Mongolian “Scourge of God.” If the finger of the Lord of hosts had not intervened in the Middle East and in the feudal kingdoms in Europe, the numbers would be even more sobering.

The Nephrite Jade Khasbuu Dynastic Seal and the Manchurian Dynasty, the Last of Dynasty of China

Our quest to understand the mystery of the international relationship between Iran, Russia and China is about over. The catastrophic effect of the Mongolian invasions was profound in Russia, China and especially in the Middle East. As a global force of conquest and the political dominance that the Mongolians excelled cannot historically be disputed.  So powerful was their traumatic image of conquest that rather than study and understand, the western mindset has been one of global amnesiaSuch moments of global amnesia did occur after global catastrophes such as the Great Flood of Noah, so also have they occurred during times of great oppression and destruction.

We can see this same effect played out over sixty years ago (1947-2007) when a great holocaust by the German Nazis was finished against the Jews, Christians and Gypsies.   As the last descendants of that era have almost died, there are now international political leaders proclaiming doubts as to whether such a holocaust ever even existed in spite of numerous museums, pictures, testimonies and now the newly released vast archives of the Nazis testifying that such a global catastrophe did exist.

This same effect of global amnesia can be seen today as we close our brains and hope that our paychecks will keep coming in, our favorite restaurants and fast-food delis will stay open and government taxes and health insurances will not sabotage our next vacation plans.  Are we wiling to see that the mindset of the world geo-political globalists is coming to one accord?  This includes:

·        The use of power and control in order to satisfy the globalist’s greed to control the natural and strategic resources on this planet and make their wealthy patrons phenomenally rich.

·        The need to satisfy the greed of the masses within their homeland populations in the west, to let them live a life of consumption that meets their social expectations?

·        The need to increase forces of oppression and suppression also to the masses so to not hinder the “god-driven obsession” for world domination.

The story of the Mongolian invasions was less than five hundred years.   Their imprint upon the oriental countries is still profound today even though they occurred eight hundred years ago (1206-2006)The political legacy of the Mongol khans lasted from their inception with the meteoric rise of Genghis Khan and the Mongolian Empire in 1206 CE until the last of the Great Khans, Lingdan Khan died in 1634 in route to the mountainous regions of Tibet.

There the ancient Khasbuu (Green Nephrite Jade) Dynastic Seal that was the royal possession of the Mongolian family of Genghis Khan carried by Kublai Khan to China was transferred to the first emperor of the Eastern MongolsThey were called the Manchurians of the Qing DynastyThe first Qing Emperor of the Manchurian Qing dynasty was Huang Taiji.  The fall of the Manchurian Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 CE) came with the Communist Xinhai Revolution (Hsinhai Revolution) on February 12, 1912.   The final Mongolian era was over.  A new world was rising on this planet.  Four thousand years of dynastic rule were over.  The atheistic communistic Republic of China was now born.  A dragon power had now emerged on the prophetic scene.

The Final Days of the Russian Khanate and the Rise of the Mucovites and the Russian Empire

It was the Sultan Mohammed Öz-Beg, better known as Uzbek Khan (1312-1341) that became the longest reigning khan of the Kipchak Khanate or the Golden Horde In his bid for power to consolidate his realm, he converted to Islam and made it the state religion in the Russian provinces.

The original Mongolian military leadership were practitioners of the animist religionsThey affirmed a belief in personal supernatural beings called souls that inhabit other animals and inanimate objects.  These souls they felt governed their personal existence.  It was they, the shamans, who believed that they were the intermediary between the natural and the spiritual worlds.  It was they that held the key to health, wisdom and the higher arts of knowledge.

While it is easy to think that these religious ideas were the relics of ancient primitive religions and the ancient form of idolatry spoken by the prophets of Israel, we find the highest expression of animist religion in the animal-gods of the ancient Pharaohs of EgyptWhen the God of Israel sent the ten plagues down upon the ancient Egyptian Pharaonic dynasty, each plague shattered the specific dominion of every god of the Egyptian pantheon that were expressed as different animals

In the days of the Golden Horde, the shamans held great power and authority over their cultures. The shamanists rebelled as they were loosing their authority with the conversion of the khanate state religion to Islam.

At the zenith of Uzbek’s rule between the years of 1313 to 1341 CE, his military power, economic trade, and international influence was unparalleled.  His standing army of 300,000 troops was one of the largest in the world.  He sent military expeditions against the Persian Il-Khanates in Azerbaijan (1313 and 1335).  He also allied himself with the Mamluks of Egypt against the Shi’a Islamic Il-Khanates in PersiaThe memory of his rule can be found in the Russian province of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek people that were named after the famed Uzbek Khan.

His alliances with the early princes of the Muscovites in Moscow were cemented as they fought together against the Princes of Tver who sought alliances to the west in Catholic Europe and suppressed their uprising against the Golden Horde in 1327.  It was Yury of Image:Mikhailtver.jpgMoscow, the Prince of Moscow (1303–1325) and the Grand Duke of Vladimir (after 1313), who became Uzbek’s brother-in-law. Yuri’s son and Uzbek’s nephew, Ivan Kalita, became his chief vassal.

From the capital of Sarai and later New Sarai, the Russian and Central Asian provinces under the Golden Horde were forced converted to convert to Islam.  With the spread of the bubonic plaque, the influence of the Golden Horde diminished as civil wars and eight different khans ruled from 1357 to 1370.

In the first article in this series, “The Mongolian Empire of Genghis Khan and the Chinese Invasion we learned of the Mongolian siege tactics using biological warfare.   They sent dead victims of the plague and catapulted them over the city walls into the city in which they would soon capture when the plague ravished the city

This fact was documented in the siege of the city of Kaffa on the Crimean Peninsula where in 1346; the Mongolian warriors that had died of the plague in the Mongolian military camp were thrown over the walls of Kaffa and carried the plague into the city.  The ships of fleeing citizens, that left the city, carried the bubonic plague from Kaffa to the Crimea and Italy and then to the rest of the European continent.  It was the Bubonic Plague that ended the brutal military career of Tamerlane in 1405.

In spite of the campaign of Berke Khan and his descendants of the Blue Horde in stemming the Mongolian invasion of Hulegu Khan and his descendants in the Middle East, the Russian principalities continued to prosper from the stable government of the Golden Horde under Uzbek Khan and the international trade that flowed from Russia, Persia and China along the Silk Highway

The Defeat of Moscow (1382) -  Painting by Vasily Sergeievich Smirnov (1858-90)

In the latter part of the 14th century, Toqtamish Khan (1383-1391) began his rule seeking to restore the Golden Horde to the former days of glory before the spread of the bubonic plague. The Russians in their first battle victory against the Golden Horde was against the Mongol general, Mamai, a usurper to the throne of the Kipchak Khanate.  He moved against the city of Moscow and sacked the city in 1380 but was victoriously defeated by the Russians at the Battle of Kulikovo.

With the rise of Toqtamish (Tokhtamysh) in 1383 CE, he defeated Mamai for the throne and then proceeding to return and sack the Russians in the city of Moscow the second time (1392).

As he appeared to gain the controls of the government of the Golden Horde, a new menace arose from the east, the Great Scourge of God, Tamerlane (1369-1404)Tamerlane and Toqtamish were two Mongol visionaries seeking to follow in the glories of the Great Genghis Khan.  Soon they both became formidable enemies, one the supreme leader and the other a former refugee in the court of the other, who now had the imperial goals of his forefathers. Both were Islamic and both sought to bring a greater Islamic empire in the name of Allah.

In the meantime, Toqtamish with an army of 50,000 had invaded Persia to the south and sacked the city of Tabriz.  As they returned with 200,000 slaves plus thousands more from the regions of Armenia, Toqtamish headed north from the Caucasus.  When he heard that Tamerlane had just annexed Persia and Azerbaijan, in fury he turned towards his Mongol brother and enemy.

It was at the Battle of the Kur River Image:Volgarivermap.png(1385) that Tekamah’s army was cornered with the Volga River to their back and Timur and his massive army to their front.  The armies of the Golden Horde were defeated near Orenburg at the confluence of the Ural and the Or Rivers coming off the Ural Mountains

The Volga and the Ural River as the Battle Fields at the Battle of the Kur River between the military forces of Tamerlane and Toqtamish.

Toqtamish and his forces retreated, but two years later, he again invaded into the heartland of Timur’s kingdom, the land of Transoxiana. In the snowy regions, they had to retreat to the plains.

In a second campaign against Toqtamish in 1391 CE, Timur took his troops through the Caucasus Mountain regions and again faced off with the forces of the Golden Horde at the Volga River.  This time, he sacked the capital at Sarai Berke or Astrakhan.  With Toqtamish escaping into the Ukrainian steppes, the Grand Duke of Vytautus I the Great (1401-1430) in Lithuania came to his help.  There in the great Battle of the http://216.15.211.67/byzantinebronzes.ancients.info/toqt3pg1geo114p3.pnghttp://216.15.211.67/byzantinebronzes.ancients.info/toqt4pg1geo116p3.pngVorskla River (1399), Timur’s two generals, Khan Temur Qutlugh and the Emir Edigu annihilated the remainder of the forces of the alliances of the Golden Horde and the Lithuanian army of Vytautas the Great.

Toqtamish was now fleeing for his life until he was captured in Siberia by the special operational forces of the Emir Edigu sometime in 1406 to 1407. The economic life line of the Golden Horde was shattered by Tamerlane with the destruction of the Silk Road trade with China and PersiaTamerlane was dead in 1405 CE and Toqtamish was murdered in 1406-7 CE. The power of the Mongolians had been broken.

The trade routes along the Silk Highway were abandoned.  The Kipchak Khanate with the death of Toqtamish fragmented.  Multiple smaller Khanates arose; the Astrakhanate, the Crimean Khanate, the Kazan Khanate, the Siber Khanate plus the Great Horde and the Nogai Horde

The end came in 1480 with the defeat of the Great Horde by the Muscovites along the Ugra River.  The days of the Golden Horde were over.  As written by Mongolian historian, Dr. Timothy May from North Georgia State University in the article titled, Khanate of the Golden Horde (Kipchak) wrote:

Dr. Timothy May – “Although the Golden Horde ended, several inner Asian nations still trace their origins to it. The Uzbeks, the Kazakhs, and, of course, the numerous Tatars of Kazan and Crimea perceive themselves as descendents of the Golden Horde. Indeed, some scholars view the rise of Moscow and the Russian Empire as an heir to the legacy of the Golden Horde.”

The Mongolian Legacy and the Battle for Jerusalem

The role of the Mongolian Empire has long been ignored and forgotten as to its affect upon the Middle East and its affect upon Islamic Persia, Syria and the ancient land of Israel.  Even more profound was the Colour photograph of Ulugh Beg Madrasa taken in Samarkand ca. 1912.transformation of the Mongolian kingdoms that grew out of the Shamanist animist religions of the steppes of Central Asia.  The khans of Mongolia over the centuries affirmed the God of Nestorian Christianity, the Islamic faith of Allah, the Trinity God of Eastern Orthodox Christians, Eternal Essence of Buddhism and even the Shang-ti (Supreme God) of Confucianism now converted their power and authority to the communist atheistic ideology of the Jewish Karl Marx (1818-1883). Today we see the seeds of the “God is Dead” or God does not exist” movement now clashing with the monotheistic (one God) religions of Judaism, Islam and Christianity

To the Jewish prophets, the city of Jerusalem and the House of God that resided in that city was recognized as the capital of the God of Israel on this planet earth.

If we can accept this thesis, then it becomes easier to accept that Lucifer is the rival of the God of Israel for the total control of this planetThis is the interplanetary picture of the Book of Job where Satan represents this earth in the council of heaven.  When Lucifer took the mantle of authority away from Adam in the Garden of Eden, he also claimed the right to this earth’s possession and the inhabitants that dwell here

It is the testimony of the prophets of Israel that the final battle for total control of this earth will be at Jerusalem.  It was the testimony of the Jewish Apostle of Yahshua (Jesus) called Yochanan (John the Beloved) and the Jewish Pharisee and later Nazarene Evangelist called the Apostle Paul that the final battle for the total control of this earth was reclaimed by the death of Yahshua also in Jerusalem.

It is also the testimony of the Apostle John in Revelation that the final redemption of this planet earth will take place at the future day of the Lord.  This day of restoration will occur in the great city that is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt.” This is the city of Jerusalem where the two witnesses will be killed for it is the “place where our Lord was crucified.” (Revelation 11:8)

Though the Great Conflict between Good and Evil will be played out in the spiritual and inter-planetary realms, its full literal impact will be the quest of the globalist’s powers for the final possession of JerusalemThey will desire for Jerusalem to be the capital for the unified world government. Is it any wonder that all the “eyes” of the nations of this earth are focused on the most contested spot on this planet?

This battle is being fought today in earnest in Israel.   The Vatican not only has its eyes on Jerusalem but for over fifteen years has stealthily been marshalling the western global powers to force the government of the Nation of Israel to give the Vatican control of the Temple Mount and all the holy sites in Jerusalem.  In the fall of 2005, an intense diplomatic push was made by the Vatican to gain possession of the Tomb of David and the Church with the Upper Room that resides over that tomb.

This covert battle by the Vatican was documented in the January 2006 article in BibleSearchers Reflections, The Vatican seek to Reclaim its Own – The Church with the Upper Room.”  At that same time, BibleSearchers also documented in the article, The Pathway and Players of the Vatican to Control Jerusalemthe chronology of the attempts by the Vatican to displace the control of the Old City of Jerusalem from the Nation of Israel.

By the winter of 2005, the pressure was intense as the Sharon government in Israel was preparing to continue its unilateral withdrawal from Shomron (Samaria).  This came on the heels of the dramatic and intense evacuation of the orthodox settlements of Jews from the Gush Katif region in the Gaza Strip.  Instead of winning praise from the international community, Sharon lost the largest agricultural “hot-house” industry in Israel, creating 10,000 Jewish refugees in Israel and a terrorist military haven for Hamas and al-Qaeda on the doorsteps of Israel.

On November 15, 2005, President Moshe Katsav was summoned to the Vatican for a private meeting with the newly inaugurated pontiff; Pope Benedict XVISome journalists claim there was a secret signing for the legal control of the Tomb of David, the Church with the Upper Room and the home of a Jewish yeshiva (Torah Academy) on the same premises to the VaticanThis was documented in the article on BibleSearchers titled, The Vatican Wants Jerusalemthat showed the Israeli-Vatican diplomatic relations that is leading to the prophetic fulfillment of Zechariah, “on that day all nations are gathered against Jerusalem” (Zechariah 12:3)

Yet Ariel Sharon resisted and refused to grant the legal authority of this Jewish holy site to the Vatican. On December 16, 2005, Ariel Sharon was having “tea” in the private company of whom Israeli investigative reporter Barry Chamish believes to be the emissary for the Vatican to Israel, Shimon Perez.  The final push by the Vatican had now come and when it was all over, according to Maggid Dov Bar-Leib, the Foolish Shepherd of Zechariah 11 and 13 lay dying with cerebral bleeding by the avenging angel of the LordDov Bar-Leib later wrote in the summer of 2006, in the article titled Yerushalayim in the Hot Seat,” stating:

Dov Bar-Leib - “Since G-d struck the foolish or evil "Shepherd" (a.k.a Ariel Sharon) with a heavenly sword above his right eye, the Holy Land has been in spiritual chaos. Angels of Destruction ascended on the 20th of Shevat with the installation of the Hamas government.  Armilus (Prime Minister Ehud Olmert) has actually won an election with the albeit weakest plurality in modern Israel's history. He has appointed a labor leader as his defense minister so that the Labor Party leader does not destroy Israel's economy. The laugh is on us. And worst of all, the Abomination Parade is set to take place even when Galilee is being blown apart by hundreds of missiles.”

Yet the battle between Christ and Satan is also being played out between the daughters of the Hebrew Nazarene Ecclesia (the Act’s Jerusalem Church); the Roman Christians and Islam against the Jewish people and the Nation of Israel. Each one of these religions has changed over the centuries from their primitive Jewish and Hebrew ancestry and the Torah roots given by Moses on Sinai

This battle is also being played out in the current War on Terror in the Middle East.  This war in Afghanistan and Iraq could very well be the War of the “King of the North” empowered by the “force” of the Jesuits in the Vatican against the “King of the South” (Daniel 11).  Here the forces of atheistic communism of Russia and China are assisting the Shi’ite Islamic regimes in their bid to take control of all the Sunni dominated countries.  Most of these Sunni Islamic nations are pro-western and supportive of the oil-dominated economies of the industrial west.

At the same time, the western globalists in the Bush administration of the United States are supporting the Iraqi Administration of Shi’ite Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. They are also wooing the cooperation of the two key national religious leaders, the revered Shi’a cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani and the Sunni cleric Sheik Hares al-Dari who is the head of the Sunni Scholars Council

According to the prophetic announcement of the senior Sephardic Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri, the American War against Terror was to begin on the prophetic date of the 7th day of Succot in 2001 (Hashanah Rabba) has now merged into the prophecy of Ezekiel’s Gog-Magog War. According to these Jewish sages, this war will be completed at the end of the “shemittah”z”, the final seven sabbatical years before the revelation of the messiah (October 2008)

According to these same Jewish rabbis, Gog from the Land of Magogis revealed as the Leader of the Land of Magog in the Americas or the President of the United States.  If this prophetic model is correct, then by the fall of 2008, the United States will have completed an alliance with Russia and present day Iran (Persia) to send a united military coalition to invade the land of Israel, a “peaceful people” living in a “land of unwalled villages”.

Ezekiel 38:1-5, 10-11 (parts) – “Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, ‘Son of man, set your face against Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal…I will turn you around and put hooks into your jawsPersia (Iran), Ethiopia (Egypt) and Libya (in Northern Africa) are with them On that day, it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely…”

Here we may potentially identify the Gog of the land of Magog as the prince or president of America, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal as the president of Russia, Moscow and Siberia or Anatolia. They will also be in alliance with Persia, Ethiopia and Libya seen in the modern nations of Iran, Egypt and Libya

The prophetic march of the God of Israel continues forward. Maybe we should reconsider that this truly is the time when we must “watch and be ready.”  The time for the proper biblical exegesis of truth may be over.  Now is the time in which we must also exhibit “emuna” or “faith in the God of Israel” that He is powerful enough to bring redemption according to the time of His will.   Now is the time that we must allow the Lord of hosts to reveal Himself in all His power and glory

Maybe we should continue to remind ourselves that the time of the end is not what we think it should be but when the Almighty One of Israel knows when it will be. As the countdown continues and the catastrophic completion of the Gog-Magog War leaves the invading forces against Israel devastated.  A new era of peace for seven years will begin. Yet it appears that the Gog-Magog War may not be Armageddon or the Mother of all Wars.  Does not the Prophet Ezekiel state?

Ezekiel 39:1-4, 6-7, 25-26, 29 (parts)  - “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, I am against you, O Gog…and I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far north, and bring you against the mountains of Israel. Then I will knock the bow out of your left hand and cause the arrows to fall out of your right hand. You shall fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops…and I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the Lord, so I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore….Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set on fire and burn the weapons…and they will make fires with them for seven years…Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name – when they dwelt safely in their own land and no one made them afraid. .. I will not hide My face from them anymore for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel.”

TheBattle of Civilizations has the world’s media riveted on the rising nuclear power of Iran.  This nation is in the hands of a messianic follower of the Islamic Mahdi whose perceives his role and purpose is to bring chaos to this earth.  The concern of the western media are nuclear attacks against Iran or rather nuclear strikes by Iran against Europe or the American naval armada that is waiting patiently for the orders to attack Iran

If Magog is America and Gog is the leader of the Land of America, then before the seven year Gog-Magog War is expected to end in October 2008, as the prophetic passages of Gog-Magog testified (Ezekiel 38-39), then the confrontation (Daniel 8) between the two global powers; the Ram coming from the east against the He-Goat coming from the west must also be completed first for such an American – Russian – Iranian alliance to occurBibleSearchers Reflections has carefully sought to unravel the matrix of Daniel’s vision that the archangel Gabriel stated:

Daniel 8:17,19, 26 (parts)–Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end…Look, I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be…therefore seal up the vision, for it refers to many days in the future.”

Here is the epic battle long awaited by prophetic watchers between the global powers of the oriental east and the occidental west.  With the completion of this series on the Globalist Red International Axis of the Greater Mongolian Imperial Dynasty of Russia, China and Persia,” the tapestry of the “Ram” of Daniel 8 begins to unfold.  We can now watch the covert wars that are being waged on the Security Council of the United Nations as Russia and China, the powerful horns of the Persian Ram (Iran), are now defending the Ayatollah’s bid for nuclear hegemony in the Middle EastWe can also watch the developing global war begin to unfold.

We can now watch the progressive confrontation between the United States, as the Great Horn on the shaggy haired He-Goat of the Globalist Economic Powers of the European Union and all their western global allies and Iran, as the Ram with the Great Horns of Russia and China appears inevitable.  This is a war for global power and control, not a war seeking nuclear catastrophes.

This does not mean that there will not be nuclear dirty bombs, bio-chemical weapons or other local catastrophe that may cause great destruction around the globe.  What it does mean is that when the final conventional, psychological or covert battles are over, the global forces of the western economic powers will dominate.

These are the same global forces envisioned by Pope John Paul II in 1978 as the Golden Internationale in the western economic global competition for world domination against the Red Internationale of the Red Communist Leninist countries of Russia, China.  We can now add to those seeking global control, the country of Persia/Iran.  Yet in the midst of this conflict, there will be one common international goal, the Nation of Israel and Jerusalem will have to join a unified world government or be destroyed. It is no wonder that we cannot ignore the call, Wake Up World - the “War of Civilizations” is all about Israel

While we watch daily this battle for world domination, most of us await the mighty battles and nuclear conflagration.  Yet the free internet encyclopedia, Wikipedia, depicted this global confrontation quite succinctly in the description of the Cold War” with Russia in the 60s to the later 80s:

Wikipedia - The struggle was widely called the Cold War in that it did not involve direct armed conflict between the main contestants (by contrast, a so-called "hot" war). The Cold War was instead waged by means of diplomatic maneuvering, economic pressure, selective aid, intimidation, propaganda, assassination, low-intensity military operations and full-scale proxy wars. The Cold War period also simultaneously witnessed the largest arms race (both conventional and nuclear) in history, leading to widespread global fears of a potential nuclear war.

With the testimony of the Mongolians and their imperial impact upon Russia, China, Persia and the entire Middle East, the Lord of hosts hands you and I the telescope of insight and the microscope of comprehension so that our “watching” will be refined by our historical observation.  Here we can see the protecting hand of the Almighty One of Israel and how He kept the Jewish people safe in the palms of His hand.

This same protective hand of the Almighty One of Israel will be seen again as the end times unfold.  The time has come for you to gather your family, friends and trusted associates to watch and be ready.”  Were there not five foolish virgins who were not prepared for the wedding feast of the bridegroom according to the parable by our Master?  So also you must be “prepared” with your spiritual and physical oil in preparation for the wedding feast for the coming of the Messiah.  As BibleSearchers, are you ready to give your heart to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His son, Yahshua HaMaschiach (Jesus the Messiah) whom King David once wrote about in the Psalms?

Psalms 121:1-5 - “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills

From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the YHVH,

Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved:

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The God YHVH is your keeper;

The God YHVH is your shade at your right hand,

The sun shall not strike you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

The God YHVH shall preserve you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul

The God YHVH shall preserve your going out and your coming in

From this time forth, and even forevermore.”

Message from BibleSearchers

BibleSearchers scans the world for information that has relevance on the time of the end.  It is our prayer that this will allow the believers in the Almighty One of Israel to “watch and be ready”.  Our readiness has nothing to do trying to halt the progression of evil on our planet earth.  In our readiness, we seek to be prepared for the coming of the Messiah of Israel so that goodness and evil will be manifested in its fullest.  Our preparation is a pathway of spiritual readiness for a world of peace.  Our defender is the Lord of hosts. The time of the end suggests that the Eternal One of Israel’s intent is to close out this chapter of earth’s history so that the perpetrators of evil, those that seek power, greed and control, will be eliminated from this planet earth.  The wars of the heavens are being played out on this planet earth and humans will live through it to testify of the might, power, justice and the love of the God of Israel.  In a world of corruption and disinformation, we cannot always know what the historical truth is and who is promoting evil or mis-information.  We cannot guarantee our sources but we will always seek to portray trends that can be validated in the Torah and the testimony of the prophets of the Old and the New Testament.
