The Kings of the East and the modern Oriental World

The United States and North Korea are in a stand-off that potentially could be the trigger to initiate a global conflict.  While the conditions are not ripe for the sixth trumpet or vial plague of Revelation to take affect, the Biblical picture of the final invasion of the 200 million man army of the Kings from the East towards Jerusalem and the pathway to that event is being set in motion today.

Revelation 9:14-18 – “Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before G-d, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ‘Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.’  So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind.  Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.

By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed – by fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths.  For their power is in their mouth and in their tails, for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.”

Revelation 15:12 – “Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.”

Who are these “kings of the east” and how do they become a coalition force heading towards Jerusalem.  We do not know.  The Bible being Jerusalem-centric keeps its focus on the events directly related to Jerusalem and those powers that are affecting her. It is silent on the rise of the kings of the east. We must assume that it will include the peoples of China, Koreas, Japan, Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia and all the predominately non-Islamic Oriental countries to the east of Jerusalem.

It is of interest to prophetic scholars that at the moment of time in the history of this planet earth, the Great Dragon or Serpent, Lucifer, that mighty archangel in rebellion to the Lord of hosts, will move into this planet earth’s four dimensional time-space continuum at the same time that the Kings of the East headed by China, the modern Dragon kingdom will head towards Jerusalem.

With this modern Dragon kingdom will be the power to take the life away of a third of the population of this planet earth. According to the World POPClock Projection, the population of this planet in mid-2005 is 6,444,316,848 people. One third of this is over 2.1 billion people.  What a sobering thought this is.

Here we see four angels that are “bound” at the great river Euphrates.  The “four angels”, the “four winds of strife” and the “four corners (cardinal points) of this earth” all are apocalyptic descriptions that a global event is happening which will affect all people.  When the four angels, that are on the four corners of the earth are released, a global conflagration of war will begin.  The genocide, pogroms and holocausts that have occurred in the past will be nothing to the vast migration or invasion of 200 million from the Oriental kingdoms of the East. These kings are archetyped in apocalyptic literature as the ‘dragon” as China is known as the “dragon country”.

Many biblical commentators have concluded that the army of the “kings of the East” is an army from China of 200 million soldiers.  That may be too hasty a conclusion.  We are now looking at the global events occurring on this earth after the global catastrophic earthquake of the sixth seal, after the global economic crisis, the geo-political wars, genocides and pogroms, and after all the demonic holocausts upon the unwanted people of this planet have occurred.  The Sixth Seal Great global Earthquake is the signal that the time of probation is over.  The Golden Internationales, the Red Internationales and the Black Internationales have been fighting amongst themselves for global domination of a One World Order.  The anti-Messiah will have been revealed as the planetary leader.  The individual power brokers that will weave in and out of each of these Internationales will be the Illuminate, the Masons, the Sabbatean Jews, radical Wahhabis Islam and the Jesuits.

Then at the six seal, the “ascending angel” will seal the saints of the Most High G-d.  Satan at that time will put his mark on his own chosen ones who now will have the “Mark of the Beast”.  Then the wrath of G-d will descend upon this planet earth with the trumpet and the vial plagues.  The “trumpet” plagues give us a portrayal of these global events from a human visual perspective on earth.   The “vial” plagues give us a perspective of these global events from a visual point of reference of watching from the Tabernacle of the Lord in heaven.  This is an other-dimensional view.

This planet will be set into its final preparation phase for the coming of the Maschiach of Israel (Messiah of Israel).  The Jewish scholar and emissary of Yahshua HaNotzri (Jesus the Nazarene), His cousin, John the Revelator, saw these events in vision from both perspectives, from us watching from earth and from G-d watching from heaven.  When John the Revelator saw the same six plagues, now called the vial plagues, he was seeing them from a visual perspective from the Tabernacle of the Lord in heaven.

Let us look at Revelation 9 and 15 again.  From a global perspective on this planet earth, we see a global catastrophe unfolding that will occur by the global military armies of the world.  What we are seeing today in 2005 is the greatest buildup of military arms and munitions that this planet has ever witnessed.  This military arsenal we are talking about is not just conventional armament, but nuclear, chemical, germ warfare, but also space warfare including the ionospheric electromagnetic wave weapons of HAARP and Scalar and tactical high energy laser (THEL) weapons.

When we see two hundred million warriors in Revelation 9, the text does not state from what direction that they are coming; north, south, east or west.  Maybe they are coming from every direction.  Since we compare this text with the vial plague of Revelation 15 which mentions the kings of the east, we assume that these eastern powers which probably include China, Japan, Koreas, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Viet Nam and Thailand will field a coalition of many eastern nations.

In prophetic and apocalyptic literature at the time of the end, we may see again replayed as they did in the ancient days, the war between the king of the north and the king of the south (Daniel 11) and the Gog-Magog war (Ezekiel 38-39). We also see the war between the ram and the he-goat (Daniel 8) which is a great military battle between the occidental and the oriental worlds.  Then we see the sixth trumpet and vial plague (Revelation 9 and 15) after great calamities have fallen upon this earth by cometary impact (Plagues 1-3), the sun going into nova (plague 4), an asteroid impact (plague 5) and then the preparation for the final conflict (plague 6) at the plains of Megiddo.  The plains of Megiddo may be an area on this earth that may extend from Jerusalem to Baghdad, from the Mediterranean to the Euphrates.  During this final conflict of the globalist in an all out bid to control this planet earth there will be global annihilation of over 2.1 billion people.  Every globalist, whose life has been spent in the accumulation of power and control for their own greed, will be involved in that war.

What we are seeing today, the growing alliances between Russia and China, India and China, the Islamic states and China, the conflicts between Taiwan and China, Japan and China and North Korea and South Korea sets the stage for the eradication, absorption and consolidation of the destinies of all of these peoplesWho will hold the match that will ignite the inferno that will topple the domino chain and finally morph this region into one mega-power?  Today, it looks as if North Korea will be that match.

The Mysterious Land of the Great Leader Kim II Sung – North Korea

To move this conflict outside of an Americo-centric analysis, I want to turn to an anonymous letter that was sent to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists and published in July-August 2002.  Today the media of the United States informs us that North Korea is one of the harshest dictators in the world, who leaves his people in abject poverty and spends a majority of his gross national income on military might. That is true, but we also see that Chairman Kim Jong II has developed one of the clearest examples of the Oriental eastern potentates where the people are servants of the state.

Here we see the Kim family, the father known as the Great Leader President Kim II Sung who is now deceased and his ruling son, the Dear Leader, Chairman Kim Jong II.  Then we will learn about the mother of all Korea, Kim Jong Suk.  Let us look at the inside of North Korea by the unknown author of the Letter from Pyongyang.

“The Soviet Union under Stalin tried hard to erase any vestige of civil society and the important people in it, but failed. Russia was known for its famous people, even as they fell under the blade of Stalinism. But no one in North Korea is famous except for the Kim’s. Led by the Great Leader, Kim Il Sung, who died in 1994, the family also includes the Dear Leader, Kim Jong Il, and the mother of all Korea, Kim Jong Suk. (Kim Jong Suk’s picture crops up from time to time and place to place, but she is of little or no importance.)

Great Leader” Kim II Sung

So two Kims, one alive and one dead, control all aspects of life in this tiny, impoverished country, where Kim Il Sungism is the reigning ideology. Questioning that ideology brings banishment from the cities, imprisonment, or public execution. All visits to North Korea start with an obligatory visit to Mansudae Hill and the 20-meter-tall statue of the Great Leader.

“Dear Leader” Kim Jong II, Chairman of the National Defense Commission

Built in 1982 to celebrate his seventieth birthday, the statue is now the focal point for all pilgrimages to Pyongyang. Each person or delegation is expected to bring flowers to lie at the feet of the giant bronze, and bowing is mandatory. On either side of the statue are massive statues of workers, peasants, and especially soldiers fighting against Japanese or U.S. soldiers in the struggle for liberation.

Two basic images of the Great Leader can be found everywhere. The standard image, displayed on all government buildings and in all homes, is the stern portrait that glares down upon the population. The new image, the “smiling portrait,” was painted after Kim’s death, and has become very popular. The official portrait of the younger Kim emphasizes his seriousness while de-emphasizing his Elvis-style hair and excess weight. It hangs everywhere beside the portrait of his father, including inside railway carriages and subway cars. Hotel rooms for foreigners seem to be an exception to the ubiquity of these official portraits, but staff areas are never without them. Pictures of Kim Jong Suk show her wearing the army uniform she is said to have worn during the fight against the Japanese.

“Mother of all Korea,” Kim Jong Suk, defending the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung with her own life

The national art gallery displays numerous paintings of the Great Leader and the Dear Leader giving “on-the-spot guidance” to happy workers, peasants, and soldiers. One of the newest additions to the collection is a massive work showing the Dear Leader with his Mercedes. There are only two public pictures in Pyongyang of people who do not belong to the Kim family–in the main square are two smallish images, one of Marx and one of Lenin.

President for all eternity: After Kim Il Sung’s death, the constitution was altered to enshrine him as the eternal president of Korea. This is why Kim Jong Il has not assumed the title of president, ruling instead as chairman of the National Defense Commission.

The Mansudae Hill Statue of the Great Leader, Kim II Sung

In keeping with Kim Il Sung’s posthumous position as permanent president, the presidential palace has been converted to the world’s largest mausoleum. His former home and office were sealed up with granite and marble, and the world’s longest moving sidewalk was installed to take visitors past his body. Dead-leader-visiting junkies will be disappointed to learn that they may not get in to see Kim as easily as when they visited Lenin, Mao, or Ho Chi Minh: only ideologically appropriate people are invited to gaze upon the eight-year-old corpse and father of “juche” (pronounced “joo-chay”).

Tower of the Juche Idea

According to the official line, juche “means that the masters of the revolution and construction are the masses of the people and they are also the motive force of the revolution and construction. In other words, one is responsible for one’s own destiny.” More succinctly, juche refers to the idea that the state must be totally self-reliant. North Koreans abhor what they call “flunkeyism,” or reliance on foreigners. In fact, no mention is ever made of the role of either the Soviet Union or the People’s Republic of China in building or defending North Korea. Those countries are apparently of no importance to the past, present, or future of Korea.

The “Tower of the Juche Idea” is a massive glass flame, lit in a way to appear to be burning with the red flame of revolutionary idealism. But the word “juche” also appears everywhere else–on all buildings and in every workplace. Another obligatory stop is at the shrine at Mangyongdae, the birthplace of the Great Leader.

The Sacred Mount Paektu near the border of China

Koreans are obliged to visit this place on a regular basis. But it is one of the nicer parks in Pyongyang, so many Koreans visit of their own free will. One is unlikely ever to see anything as obviously fake, however, as the alleged childhood home of the Great Leader, the “original” peasant house on the edge of a former graveyard. A wooden and thatch shack, it is beautifully kept and adorned with family photographs.

Even more completely fake is the legendary birthplace of Dear Leader Kim Jong Il, who is said to have been born in a humble log cabin at sacred Mount Paektu in the northernmost reaches of Korea during the anti-imperialist war against the Japanese. He was actually born in the Soviet Union. Other fakes in the northern areas include slogans gouged into tree trunks. More of these carvings, said to have been made by anti-imperialist fighters led by comrade Kim Il Sung between 1925 and 1945, seem to be discovered every day. They appear amazingly fresh, free from weathering or overgrowth. When found, they are preserved behind Plexiglass. Their message: that there has always been only one true leader of all Korea, the Great Leader, who almost single-handedly defeated the Japanese Imperial Army.

Myohyangsan Mountain International Friendship Exhibition

Understanding the depth of yearning for international recognition comes with a visit to the International Friendship Exhibitions at the Myohyangsan Mountains. There one repository is dedicated to Kim Il Sung, and another to Kim Jong Il. Both exhibits, housed inside a mountain, contain tens of thousands of gifts–impressive ones from world leaders and silly little gifts from ordinary people. Many items look odd displayed behind glass, particularly common household goods like a working-class dining room table or small trinkets from souvenir shops around the world. The display is apparently intended to show both foreigners and Koreans that the world recognizes how important the Great and Dear Leaders are. And there is, in fact, an almost religious quality to the way the collection of relics is displayed.

The Revolutionary Capital of North Korea, Pyongyang, and the Arch of Triumph where the late President Kim Il Sung returned in triumph after the Korean War

The streets of Pyongyang–and everywhere else–are filled with posters. There is no advertising in a commercial sense, but there is a great deal of advertising telling Koreans how to think about the Great and Dear Leaders. Newly painted posters regularly replace older ones, and most carry socialist-realist images; the rest carry pictures of the Great Leader and his edifying words, urging the population on to greater feats of revolutionary heroism.

Things really are engraved in stone, too. The words of the Great Leader are frequently carved in chunks of granite, which may range in size from small monuments at the roadside right up to massive letters carved into the side of a hill or a mountain. Adding to the two Kims’ deification is the constant reference to them in song and dance. One need only listen to a few minutes of radio or television to hear each one mentioned several times. While the two Kims have not named places after themselves (other than Kim Il Sung University) they have had various items named in their honor. Both men have flowers named after them, and these flowers are always prominently displayed.

Pyongyang – capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

KCCKP.Net – Pyongyang, capital of DPRK is the centre of politics, the economy and culture. It has a 5,000-year history as a capital city, since Tangun, founder king, established Ancient Korea and set Pyongyang as its capital. The Moran Hill, the “Garden of the Capital”, is full of flowers and the picturesque River Taedong flows through the city centre. It seems Pyongyang nestles in park.

Such surroundings make Pyongyang the ‘World’s Best Beauty’.”

Chairman Kim Yong II becoming a Global Nuclear Leader

North Korean Chairman leader Kim Yong II has maintained that he can call the bluff of the United States President George Bush.  It is his opinion that Iraq was not invaded until the United Nation’s arms inspectors had come to the conclusion that Saddam Hussein had no Weapons of Mass Destruction. Since 2002, the nation of North Korea has refused any nuclear arms inspectors.  They have been on a firm and concentrated path of developing, completing and fitting its arsenal of Stage-3 ballistic missiles for final attack.  According to a report by Cutting Edge on March, 2004, according to CIA estimates, North Koreans have possessed enough plutonium for at least two nuclear warheads but lacked the ability to hit the United States on the eastern and the western coasts simultaneously, a capacity which it is believed exists today.  Over the past year the Yongbyon nuclear plant has produced enough plutonium for at least eight nuclear bombs.

The evidence is piling up real fast that America is on a collision course within weeks or just a few months with the North Koreans. The question will be “who will blink first?”  On May 12, 2005, the Guardian posted an article called “Spy photos spot signs of N. Korean nuclear test site”, which seems to confirm that the North Koreans are preparing to explode an under the ground nuclear test in a mountain to the north-east of their nation.

If a regional conflict does start the impact would be global but the local impact would be enormous. The combat forces of North Korea have over one million soldiers.  According to an article in USA Today on February 28, 2003, Paul Wiseman states that the catastrophes on the Korean peninsula could leave over one million dead.

South Korean defenses could be pummeled for several hours by as many as 500,000 artillery rounds per hour from North Korean positions just 30 miles from Seoul. Tens of thousands of North Korean commandos, many disguised as civilians or South Korean troops, would probably sneak south in midget submarines or drop in by parachute. North Korea’s 500 to 600 Scud missiles, many carrying chemical weapons, could pound targets across South Korea, and longer-range missiles could hit civilian and U.S. military targets as far as Japan, possibly even the western USA. ‘They certainly have the ability to deliver a devastating first blow, especially if there is no lead-in time for us,’ says Joseph Bermudez, author of a detailed book called ‘The Armed Forces of North Korea’. ‘They could make a significant penetration into South Korea, no doubt about it’.”

With this scenario in mind, ABC News reported in the article, “N. Korea Removes Nuclear Rods From Reactor”, dated May 12, 2005.

“North Korea said Wednesday it has completed removing spent fuel rods from an atomic reactor, enabling it to harvest more weapons-grade plutonium. It was the communist state’s latest provocation amid deadlocked talks over Pyongyang’s nuclear program. A North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesman said the country had “successfully finished” removing 8,000 fuel rods from the reactor at its Yongbyon complex, which was shut down last month, so it can “bolster its nuclear arsenal.”

Some experts claim that from these 8000 fuel rods on the Yongbyon nuclear plant that North Korea can produce six to eight more nuclear bombs, yet according to the South Korean media, the fuel was not in the reactors long enough and than only about 2 more bombs could be extracted.

According to Free Republic in an article posted on May 24, 2005, called “Holloman Sends More F-117 Stealths To S Korea, the United States was sending an additional fifteen F 117A Nighthawk stealth fighters from Holloman Air Force Base to South Korea. As stated,

“The 49th Fighter Wing announced the deployment of about 250 airmen and the stealths Monday. About two dozen stealths and 300 airmen were deployed from Holloman to Kunsan Air Base in South Korea last summer. Officials wouldn’t disclose where in South Korea they would be going. The deployment comes as North Korea threatens a nuclear weapons test.”

Quickly the United States sent a further offer on May 13, 2005, as soon as they heard that North Korea was removing the fuel rods in their attempt to quickly extract weapons grade plutonium to make additional bombs for its nuclear armament.  As they proclaimed, it was bid to protect regional peace.  As stated by Minju Joson,

“It is in the East Asian region, including the Korean Peninsula, where the US moves for vicious attacks and war ... are carried out most seriously. It is our nuclear deterrent that basically guarantees peace and stability.”

China also rejected at the same time the pressure from the Bush administration to use sanctions to prod North Korean and the government of Chairman of the National Defense Commission, Kim Jong II to return to the six-nation talks.  China’s response was that political relations with its neighbors were to be kept separate from its economic and trade relations.

So today, China and Japan are standing down in opposition with each other. Taiwan and China in spite of their high stakes rhetoric; the opposition leaders are making conciliatory moves.  With the northern border of North Korea in direct contact with the borders of Russia and China, the Land of North Korea might be the spark that will ignite the global conflict in the eastern hemisphere.  The world community accepts today that North Korea does have nuclear weapons plus inter-continental ballistic missiles that can carry these nuclear warheads at least to the western coast and possibly over the Arctic Ocean to the eastern coast of the United States.

Consider this news article in The Korea Times called, “North Korea Missile Warhead found in Alaska” dated March 4, 2003.

“The warhead of a long-range missile test-fired by North Korea was found in the U.S. state of Alaska, a report to the National Assembly revealed yesterday.  ‘According to a U.S. document, the last piece of a missile warhead fired by North Korea was found in Alaska,’ former Japanese foreign minister Taro Nakayama was quoted as saying in the report. `Washington, as well as Tokyo, has so far underrated Pyongyang’s missile capabilities.’ “

In light of the new and current geo-political events that are cascading all around us, we might pause and update our concepts on the literal fulfillment of the prophecies given to us by the prophets of old.  If the “kings of the East” will exist as a literal military force towards the land of Israel just prior to the arrival of the Maschiach of Yisra’el (Messiah of Israel) are they coming as a final showdown at Armageddon between the global forces of the Occidental World (Western Powers) and the Oriental World (Eastern Powers)?  Rather are the “kings of the East” coming as part of a planetary coalition force by the One World Order to battle with the legions and hosts of the heavenly armada that will arrival with the “King of kings and the Lord of lords?”

When the final conflict between the Maschiach of Yisra’el and the forces of the anti-Messiah occurs, one thing we will know, the War in heaven has now moved onto our planet earth. The forces of evil with Lucifer as their commander and the hosts of heaven under the command of the Lord of hosts will battle against each other on this last bastion of the universe where evil still reigns.  Contrary to modern movies, we are not moving into an era of extra-planetary “Star Wars” but the star wars in the universe is devolving into our four dimensional space-time continuum. Satan and the forces of evil will become trapped into our three dimensional space like we have been living since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of EdenOh for the day when that cycle will be reversed.  That day will bring to us an earth made new.  As man (Adam) was responsible for destroying and contaminating this earth, we can now have the privilege of restoring it to an Eden restored and renewed. This is our future reality.

Isaiah 66:17-19, 24-25 - “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind.  But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, and her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem and joy in My people; the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her nor the voice of crying.

‘It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.  The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s foodThey shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain,’ says the Lord.
